After this, the student performers took over. Five eager young beginners played a variety of piano music from some of today's finest educational composers including Lori Bastien, Melody Bober, Mary Leaf, and Elizabeth Greenleaf. Some students performed purely instrumentally while others sang along with their own playing. After the soloists, there was a touching piano duet played by Karen and Douglas Leung, mother and son, both piano students!.

The more advanced piano students chose a varied program of music ranging from 1950's Rock and Roll, to Jazz Standards, toRagtime. This was capped off by a mini-tribute to Chopin., featuring the Prelude in b minor, the posthumous Nocturne in e minor, and the Revolutionary Etude, Op. 10, No. 12.

After the piano players, the guitar and voice students had their turn at entertaining the audience. There were performances in improvised blues (while Ronin played accompaniment) as well as original student music compositions.

For the remainder of the concert, Ronin performed a variety of musical selections in order to demonstrate some of the musical styles students may want to pursue as their skills develop. This ranged the gamut from Bluegrass to Rock to Andrew Lloyd Webber. With each selection, Ronin outlined the history of the music in order for the audience to be able to hear the music in its proper context.

The program for the afternoon ended with the audience singing Lennon and McCartney's Let It Be

And finally, we were treated to an improvised song by Jenna Weeks, with piano accompaniment by her teacher, Ronin.

After the performances, guests and performers were treated to refreshments and everyone was invited to peruse the display of student composition books and special music projects that student's had completed in the year.
