This page will grow over time. It has been set up in response to the ongoing curiousity that students have about the people who are writing the music they are playing. At our studios, we teach music by great composers, songwriters, and other musicians all the way from the Middle Ages to today's current record charts. We also teach music from some composers who write educational pieces. We thought it would be fun to start a page featuring some of the composers we know personally.

We start out with a couple of Canadian composers. One of these resides right here in our studio: Ronin Wong. Ronin composes songs for keyboard/piano as well as for guitar. Ronin's compositions are appropriate for the more advanced students.
![]() Marianne with Debra Wanless Beginning students have really enjoyed playing through the Primer book that Debra wrote called Lets begin. Also, some of Marianne's intermediate piano students are working on The Old 81. This song forms part of the Making Tracks collection that has songs on the theme of Canada's first railroads.
Martha currently resides in Florida and is not only an active composer of piano music, but she is a co-author of the Alfred's Premiere Piano Course published by Alfred Music Publishing. Martha has run a busy teaching practice for many years and is an active member of many teaching organizations, including, the Music Teachers National Association, the Florida State Music Teachers Association, and the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Students really enjoy playing her music, including the Romantic Impressions series and her collection of individual sheet music, particularly, Frog on a Log. ![]() Marianne with Martha Mier
